MEET THE PASTOR
PASTOR TERRY LAMBERT
I am married to a beautiful, talented and incredibly devoted woman, Michelle, and together we have two talented adult children, Spencer and Jasmine that I am very proud of. My family is extremely supportive, encouraging and involved in ministry. I am dedicated to introducing people to Jesus and assist them to develop a personal relationship with Him. I am passionate about supporting the development of a safe place where people can turn up to be themselves, participate in the area of ministry and service that they are passionate about and find meaningful connections with others. My dream is to experience belonging with others in a loving community, enjoying freedom in Jesus’ grace, and discovering purpose to make a difference in our community.
I have served at Carmel Adventist College Church, in the picturesque hills of Perth, Western Australia, since January 2018. Previously, I served as local church minister in various metropolitan locations, as well as being a chaplain for Perth Hospitals, University’s and Schools for over 15 years. I have also served as a Western Australian Youth Director for ten years and Manager of the Adventist Book Store for five years. My education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Theology, Post Graduate Diploma in Developing People at Work and a Masters degree in Human Resource Management. I have a strong connection with creative arts demonstrated in a long and diverse range of experiences including belonging to the international theatre company, Play Back Theatre.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Visiting a new church can be awkward especially if you have never been to church before. Carmel likes to get rid of the "awkwardness" by keeping it simple! Welcome! Regardless of your culture or background. You don't have to dress up to come along and you don't have to pretend to be someone you are not. Just come as you are!
When you arrive you will be warmly greeted by the welcome team and possibly enjoy a hot drink. They will answer any questions you have and do their best to accommodate your needs. They will also make sure that you know where to go next. There are Bible Study and fellowship Groups that begin at 9:30 AM for all ages and the main worship service begins at 11 AM. Looking forward to seeing you!
